Pizza from scratch! (recipe for 4 big pizzas)

Ingredients

  • 7 cups flour

  • 2 y 1/2 cups of warm water

  • 2 teaspoons of dry yeast

  • 3 teaspoons of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil

  • Tomato sauce

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Complementary ingredients to taste

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, place the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  • In a larger bowl put the flour, salt, oil, and the mixture from the small bowl.

  • Knead everything for 15 minutes (either by hand or machine). One hint that the dough is ready is that, when it is squeezed, it returns to its initial state (there is no hole left by the squeezing).

  • Put it in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rest for 10 - 24 hours.

  • Now that the volume of the dough increased, divide it into 4.

  • Stretch the dough (depending on the size of the mold).

  • Place the tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and other accessories to taste.

  • Bake between 250°C and 300°C for 17 minutes.

  • Now, it is ready to be served.
